Want to make sure you’re never the conversational downer whom others would rather avoid?
Ask yourself this question the next time you finish a conversation you initiated:
Did I share more about myself than I learned about the other person? If your answer is yes, then you’re in danger of being viewed as cornering the conversation.
The solution: start and end every conversation by asking about the other person’s thoughts, plans, and happenings.
Studies show that people who are perceived as the best conversationalists talk little and ask lots!
